Real estate has become one of the most lucrative and fastest growing industries in Nigeria, Africa's most populous country. This is hardly surprising in view of the rapid population growth in the country. Nigeria presently has an estimated population of 200 million!
In order to provide shelter for this teeming population,real estate agents and companies are increasing. Adron Homes, Haggai Homes, etc are some of these real estate companies.
A recent tendency among these real estate companies is the use of Nollywood stars as brand ambassadors. Funso Adeolu, Odunlade Adekola, Saheed Balogun, Jide Kosoko, and Mide Martins are some of the movie stars whose wallets have been fattened by these real estate companies thanks to the brand ambassadorial contracts they signed.
Undoubtedly, there is an economic angle to this recent trend.It is a win-win situation for both parties.
How? The real estate firms apparently get more clients by employing these movie stars as brand ambassadors. The movie stars also smile to the banks by signing the mouth-watering contracts.
