Using Nigeria as a case study, there has been a steady increase in Nigerians' use of YouTube over the years. This, according to Pendrof Blog research, can be attributed to the new marketing strategy devised by Nollywood movie producers and marketers to market newly released movies. One of their greatest marketing strategies lately is to upload newly released movies on YouTube. The idea is gaining wide currency, and viewers across the globe have been able to watch newly released movies on YouTube.
Apart from YouTube, other sites like Fox, PPC, and the BBC are top gainers.
